“This book explores and traces the personal events and key artistic insights that underpin Christine Cafarella-Pearce’s artist’s journey. It is neither a biography or a 'How to do Book’ in the commonly accepted sense of the word. Rather, by combining elements of both it becomes a personal account of how Christine expresses her unique relationship to the world through her paintings. Yet at the same time it succeeds in offering practical take-away workshop insights into her painting techniques. 

The book explores some of the pivotal paintings, poetry and insights which underpin Christine’s artistic and personal development. Many of these relate to the external world, particularly her beloved Yarra Valley. But other’s take us on a more inward journey and clearly show a relationship between life events and the emotional connections that have motivated some of these works. By providing insights into the many complex life experiences that have shaped Christine as a person and an artist we share her journey and gain a greater understanding that for Christine, and possibly for most artists, life and art are intertwined and inseparable. “
