Christine Cafarella-Pearce AGRA

Christine's technique and painterly application is as unique as her sense of colour and design. Christine, who is a well known portrait and landscape artist, travels throughout Australia to paint and collect information for her landscape and genre subjects.

Christine's paintings of the Yarra Valley area are sought after by many. She sees this region through the eyes of one who lives locally and understands the subtle blues and intense greens of the area. Many of Christine's paintings of this region show the vineyard workers set against a backdrop of distant blue mountains and lush green farmland

The recent bushfires have greatly affected Christine’s paintings of late, and she has produced a number of works on the subject. One of these “From Ashes to Beauty” has been awarded the Dean’s Encouragement at the Camberwell Rotary Art Show 2009

Christine has painted and travelled widely in throughout NSW, Queensland SA and Tasmania The beaches and rainforests of far North Queensland are favourite destination and a constant source of artistic inspiration. Christine painted in Italy for 2 weeks in spring 2008 and has been painting furiously ever since.

Her work can be found hanging in Parliament house Canberra, Townsville's sister city in Japan and in many other private collections throughout the world and in Australia

Christine is well sought after as a workshop tutor and art judge. She has won many Awards over the years including Fellowship of AGRA 2008, Camberwell Rotary 2009 Deans oil Art Award, 1997 Phil Baressi Art Award, Bayswater Rotary 2008, Best under $1000, 2006 Winner Australian Guild of Realist Artists winter Exhibition,
